We oversell QUALITY, Not our Servers. Imagine that.
We all know the hosting market today, hundreds of "hosting companies" offer Unlimited this and Unlimited that, or if they have limits at all it is so far past reality that they only have them so their offers would not get banned by reputable marketing company's that do not allow unlimited bandwidth or space offers. And we all know, the crazier the offer, the more cryptic the TOS and AUP (terms of services and authorized usage policies). You know like "unlimited bandwidth, but no streaming and static html pages only".

So what is the use for that bandwidth? Do you really need 100TB of bandwidth and 100TB storage for $5? Do these web hosting plans make sense? The answer should be NO! There is no way the company could ever provide that for anywhere near that price. This type of advertising should lead you to think of what kind of customer service they will offer and how oversold there servers are. It seems that most company's that make these offers are just small company's with resellers accounts with larger web hosting company's. They have nothing at risk.

Now lots of people go for these offers and suffer with bad load times and constant downtime, but you do get what you pay for and lots of time in this business it is "buyer beware". What really gets me is that they move to ANOTHER HOST that has the SAME type of oversold and overpromised services AGAIN. Consider the odds: The more accounts on a server, the more likely it is that on a very regular basis at least a handful of them will exceed their quotas. At PLS Hosting we will never put volume over Quality of Service or the Performance Customers are paying for.

WE see the market differently.
We believe that the cost of gaining customers is too high to lose them just as quickly to poor performance and support. Once a customer signs up with us we want to keep them. So we offer great high power servers with reasonable allowances (so not to attract the server killer customers). The servers are fast, the systems reliable and the customers are paying us a reasonable price that allows us to support them.

So, that said what is NOT allowed. We do not allow Gaming (Gaming forums, etc are fine, just not using the site as a game server); we also do not install FFMpeg or Shoutcast.

These are really not appropriate on a shared server were the monopolization of resources used by a few sites would badly impact the rest. We want everyone to have a great experience with us, so we let you know upfront what you can and cannot do. We do not hide things in our TOS/AUP that bite you back after your purchase. Also, no safelisting or bulk e-mailing of any kind (personal mailing lists must be under 700 and double opt-in and not contain sales pitch or spam content) and No IRC's, BNC's, Eggdrops, Unauthorized SHELL programs, HYIP or PROXY sites. Actually if you think about it...do you want to SHARE a server with those kinds of sites anyway. Probably not !!
